STARTING JANUARY 2012

 

I am delighted to be able to present you with the next phase of the School's Adult Education Programme.

Our new course programme consists of the following courses;

  • Move on ENGLISH with Heather Hayes
  • POTTERY with Grace Bibby
  • SAGE Computerised Book Keeping with Helen Daniels
  • GARDEN DESIGN with Gill Morris
  • BASIC COMPUTERS with Andrew Leyland
  • MEDITERRANEAN COOKERYwith Jackie Taylor
  • BAKING with Jackie Taylor
  • CHOCOLATE GIFTS with Jackie Taylor
  • MANICURES AND NAIL ART with Lisa Lawton 
     

To enrol on any of the courses listed above please come to Lowton High School on Monday 9th January between 5-7pm  

 

If you are thinking of enrolling upon one of our new courses please be aware that;
 
  1. Our courses are only available to those people who are eligible to live in the United Kingdom and have done so for a period of time [between 1 and 3 years depending upon personal circumstances]
  2. All of the courses contained in our Adult Education Programme have a fee attached [the exceptions being our Maths and English courses which are available free of charge].
  3. The course fees are calculated at the subsidised rate of £1.50 per hour [in 2010/11 the rate was £1.25]
  4. Concessions are available on course fees but only to those who receive Job Seekers Allowance and/or the Employment and Support Allowance [work related activity group]
  5. Those entitled to a concession can access any of our courses free of charge [in 2010/11 a charge of £5 was applied]

Concessions are no longer available to those who receive the following benefits; Council Tax Benefit, Housing Benefit, Income Support, Working Tax Credit, Pension Credit or forms of Employment Support Allowance.

At Lowton High School we are trying to reduce our carbon footprint by using less paper. One area in which we hope to make a difference is with our promotional material.
